Pixel Systems
Junior AI Automation Developer
Résumé du poste
Modèle de travail
Pixel Systems is adding a Junior AI Automation Developer to our small team to help support a major French transport client. This role is about taking practical AI tools and making them work for real people who manage shipping and logistics. You will be building the background scripts and integrations that help this transport partner process large amounts of data without manual entry. Since we are a fully remote company, you will work from your own space and coordinate with the rest of the team through clear documentation and regular video check-ins.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a remote software agency that builds the tools teams actually use. We do not build flashy consumer apps or marketing sites. Instead, we focus on the practical side of software: admin panels, CRM integrations, and the database migrations that most people try to avoid. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a sprawling spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to finally talk to one another.
We believe that working code is better than a perfect plan that never ships. Our approach is straightforward. We provide fixed quotes before we start, we do weekly demos, and we hand over everything when we are finished. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the software we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We are a team of developers and designers who prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing the latest trends.
The role
In this position, you will help us build and maintain automation workflows that involve both traditional code and Large Language Model APIs. For our French transport client, this specifically means taking raw data from various sources (emails, documents, and old databases) and using automated scripts to organize it into a structured format. This is a junior role, so you will spend much of your time learning how to connect different systems and ensuring that data flows correctly between them.
The work involves writing clean scripts, testing how different prompts interact with APIs, and building simple internal interfaces to help the client monitor these automations. You will not be doing abstract research: you will be building tools that have to work every day. Because we are a remote shop, you will spend a good portion of your week writing down how your code works and recording short video walkthroughs for our weekly client demos.
What you bring
- A basic understanding of programming logic, particularly in JavaScript or Python.
- Common sense when it comes to solving problems and a willingness to try several different approaches until something works.
- The ability to write clearly for your teammates and clients.
- Good organization habits (you know how to keep track of your tasks without someone reminding you).
- A realistic attitude toward software: you understand that bug fixes and data cleaning are just as important as building new features.
- Curiosity about how different software systems talk to each other via APIs.
- The comfort to work independently as part of a fully remote team.
Helpful background
While we do not expect you to be an expert in everything, it is helpful if you have some exposure to the following tools through your studies, personal projects, or internships:
- Fundamental JavaScript (Node.js) or React.
- Basic database knowledge, specifically how to write a simple SQL query in Postgres.
- Experience using Git and GitHub to manage your code.
- An interest in how APIs work (REST or JSON).
- Any experience playing around with OpenAI or Anthropic APIs for personal projects.
- Familiarity with deployment tools or basic cloud hosting.
Working at Pixel Systems
Working here means focusing on the work itself rather than corporate meetings. We are a small team, which means you will see exactly how your code helps the client from your first week. There are no layers of middle management here. You will report directly to senior developers who will help you get up to speed on our workflow. This is a full-time, permanent position. We believe in paying people fairly for their work, and this role offers an attractive and competitive salary for an entry-level developer in this market.
Our culture is built on being reliable. We do what we say we are going to do, and we expect the same from everyone on the team. We value people who can admit when they are stuck and who enjoy the satisfaction of seeing a repetitive manual task finally get automated. Since we are fully remote, we respect your time and focus on the quality of what you ship rather than how many hours you spend at your desk.
We take pride in being the agency that fixes things. If you enjoy the challenge of making different systems work together and you want to see your code put to use in a major industrial project, you will fit in well here. We focus on building software that lasts, which means we spend our time on clear logic and stable tools rather than the latest social media fads.
