Product Manager - Laboratory Equipment
Based in Collégien, France (Hybrid Working) Salary: Excellent plus bonus and benefits package
Our client, a specialist in engineering and manufacturing temperature-controlled laboratory equipment, is seeking an experienced Product Manager. They focus on maintaining sample integrity through robust design and precise temperature control, delivering reliable solutions for laboratories.
This permanent role is crucial for upcoming product launches and future developments, aiming to sustain the entire product portfolio and solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, strategic ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a deep understanding of laboratory equipment. You will drive innovation, operational excellence, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Conduct market and competitive analyses to identify growth opportunities and guide portfolio positioning.
- Product Strategy: Define and implement the product strategy and roadmap for the laboratory equipment portfolio.
- Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer internally to guide innovation and product enhancements.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor product performance and profitability, proposing corrective actions.
- Sales Support: Assist the sales team with product introductions and provide technical/application knowledge through visits to key opinion leaders with local sales representatives.
- Pricing: Prepare pricing guides in collaboration with the finance team.
- Marketing Coordination: Align operational marketing with sales and marketing teams for promotional activities.
- Strategic Roadmap: Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap including cost optimization, standardization, compliance, and innovation.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle, including introductions and end-of-life decisions.
- Project Management: Oversee New Product Development projects from market requirements to launch, collaborating with R&D, Production, and Quality teams. Ensure project timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
- Production & Compliance: Partner with Production and Quality teams to ensure industrialization, serviceability, and regulatory compliance.
- R&D and Production Support: Report bugs and technical issues to R&D for resolution and support production forecasting and service manual development.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or Business.
- Proven experience in Product Management within laboratory equipment, life sciences, or medical technology sectors.
- Experience managing international markets and supporting diverse sales regions.
- Proficiency in product launches and portfolio lifecycle management.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is essential.
- Willingness to travel, primarily within France.
- Must possess a valid EU work permit or EU residency qualification.
