Description du poste

We are adding a Project Manager Intern to our team as we begin supporting a major French transport provider. This client manages a large network and needs better ways to handle their internal logistics and maintenance data. We are helping them move away from disjointed spreadsheets and manual tracking to a more centralized, reliable database system. In this role, you will help our developers and the client stay on the same page. This is a fully remote, full-time internship designed for someone who wants to see how software projects are actually managed in a small, practical agency environment.

About Pixel Systems

Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency. We do not focus on flashy apps or viral marketing sites. Instead, we build the tools that keep businesses running: admin panels, CRM integrations, and database migrations. Our clients usually come to us because they have an operational headache that needs a technical solution. We work in a very straightforward way. We provide fixed quotes for our work, perform weekly demos so everyone can see progress, and hand over the code and documentation once the job is finished. We use reliable technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because stability is more important to us than chasing the newest trends. We are a team of professionals who enjoy solving real problems without any corporate drama.

The role

As a Project Manager Intern, you will not be expected to manage people, but you will be responsible for managing information. Your daily work will center on ensuring that the requirements for our French transport project are clearly defined and that our development team has what they need to keep building. You will be in charge of keeping our task boards updated and organized. You will listen to client feedback during our weekly meetings and turn those conversations into clear, actionable tickets for our engineers. A large part of this role involves documentation. We pride ourselves on handing over walkthrough videos and written manuals so our clients can actually use the software we build. You will help draft these materials and ensure they are accurate and easy to follow.

What you bring

We are looking for someone who is naturally organized and enjoys creating order out of messy information. Since this is an internship, we do not require a long history of professional management, but we do need the following:

  • Strong written communication skills: You can write a summary that is easy to read and understand.
  • The ability to follow through: When you say you will update a document or check on a task, you do it without needing a reminder.
  • Curiosity about how software is built: You want to know why we choose certain tools and how data moves from one part of a system to another.
  • Comfort with remote work: You can manage your own time and are comfortable communicating via text and video calls throughout the day.
  • A practical mindset: You prefer building something useful over something that just looks cool.
  • An eye for detail: You notice when instructions are missing a step or when a deadline in the calendar does not match the project plan.

Helpful background

While this is not a developer role, you will be surrounded by code every day. It is helpful if you have a basic understanding of the following areas or are willing to learn about them quickly:

  • The basics of how web applications work (frontend, backend, and databases).
  • Familiarity with version control concepts, specifically GitHub.
  • Experience using organizational tools like Trello, Notion, or Jira for school or personal projects.
  • A basic understanding of what an API is and why systems need to talk to each other.
  • Any previous interest or coursework in logistics, transport, or operations.

Working at Pixel Systems

Working at Pixel Systems means getting away from the layers of middle management found at larger firms. You will be working directly with senior developers and designers who care more about working code than perfect slide decks. Our culture is built on transparency and getting things done. We are a fully remote team, so we value clear, written communication and respect each other's focused work time. This is a paid position, and we offer a competitive rate for the internship market. You will get to see the lifecycle of a project from start to finish and understand how we solve real-world problems for a major international client.

We are a small team that values stability and honesty. We avoid the typical stress and rush of the tech industry by being clear about our scope and sticking to our plans. If you are someone who appreciates a quiet, focused, and professional work environment, you will find this role a great fit. We take pride in building software that lasts and helping our clients run their businesses more effectively.
