About Your Team and Mission
Field marketing is crucial for GitGuardian's growth. Events are a primary driver of pipeline, enabling direct engagement with enterprise cybersecurity leaders and developers across Europe.
As we expand our European presence, with a particular focus on Germany, we are seeking a Field Marketing Manager to lead our event strategy in the DACH region while supporting broader European initiatives.
Reporting to Jérémy, Head of Field Marketing, you will collaborate closely with Sales, BDR, and the Marketing team to design, execute, and optimize field marketing programs. This includes events, ABM campaigns, and regional initiatives aimed at generating qualified pipeline and strengthening GitGuardian's European market position.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Own Your Region's Marketing Plan: Propose the optimal marketing mix for the DACH, UK, and Nordics regions, recommend localization needs, and source local vendors.
- Plan and Execute GitGuardian's Event Strategy: Design impactful event experiences that differentiate GitGuardian from competitors within the region.
- Measure Campaign Efficiency and Optimize: Drive pipeline generation through continuous improvement of marketing efforts.
- Manage the Regional Marketing Budget: Oversee and allocate the marketing budget effectively.
- Align with Local Sales and BDR Teams: Provide guidance on optimal marketing approaches for different tactics.
- Adapt Messaging and Positioning: Ensure GitGuardian's messaging resonates culturally and effectively with German-speaking audiences in the DACH market.

Essential Skills and Experience:
- Business-Level German Fluency (C2)
- Organizational Skills & Attention to Detail: Ability to simultaneously manage 3-5 events and other tactics at various stages, prioritize effectively, and handle unforeseen challenges calmly.
- Pipeline Generation Mindset: Solid understanding of B2B demand generation metrics (MQLs, SQLs, pipeline contribution, ROI) and experience collaborating with Sales teams to define event success metrics and ensure proper lead follow-up.
- DACH Market Experience: 1-2 years of experience working in or marketing to DACH regions, with an understanding of local business culture nuances (communication styles, decision-making processes, relationship-building). Familiarity with key regional cybersecurity events is a plus.
- Local Marketing Plan Development: Proven experience in building integrated marketing plans using various tactics to achieve objectives, in collaboration with centralized resources like SEA and SMA managers.
- Creativity & Memorable Experience Design: Demonstrated ability to create unique and engaging event or campaign experiences. Provide examples of creative activations, innovative formats, or distinctive approaches.
- Sales Coaching & Event Performance Management: Experience coaching BDRs and sales representatives on event best practices. Ability to assess performance during events and offer constructive feedback on booth engagement, lead qualification, and sales interactions.
- AI Tool Proficiency: Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini, LLMs) for efficiency, writing enhancement, and task automation. Experience with agents or workflow automation is a plus.
Desired Skills (Strengthen Your Application):
- Cybersecurity Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, key players, challenges, and major conferences. Genuine curiosity and ability to discuss GitGuardian's value proposition.
- Design Skills: Working knowledge of Figma, Canva, Illustrator, or Photoshop. Experience briefing design teams and managing vendors for print/merchandise production.
- Marketing Automation Tools: Familiarity with platforms like HubSpot, Customer.io, or Salesforce for lead management, promotion, and nurturing. Proficiency with Google Sheets/Excel and project management tools (Notion, Asana). Experience with workflow automation tools (n8n, Zapier, Make, Clay, Claude Cowork) is a bonus.
- French Fluency: Beneficial for collaboration within the Paris office.
