🐼 About us

WeWard is the app that rewards you for walking and turns everyday steps into real-life rewards, connections, & positive impact!

Our mission is to help people move more, feel better, and make movement meaningful.

Today, we are trusted by 25M users worldwide , with a fast-growing, international team and offices in Paris and New York.

Our ambition is to build the world's leading movement-and-rewards platform, scaling globally while using technology, data, and smart incentives to drive lasting behavior change and wellbeing at scale.

🎯 About the role

Our team is growing, and in the Monetization & Rewards Pillar, we're building a dedicated Monetization squad that own WeWard's programmatic driven revenue engine end-to-end.

We're looking for a Senior Monetization Manager to own the advertising product and co-own the survey product --- two of the core engines powering WeWard's free-to-use model.

This is a product role too: you'll own the roadmap, run discovery and experimentation, and ship with your own engineering and design partners. Commercial and partner work is part of the job, but in service of a product that monetizes at scale without compromising the experience.

You will report to Samuel, our Lead Monetization and work closely with an Engagement Manager, two dedicated engineers, and a designer.

👉 Your impact/responsibilities

Own the ads product & roadmap

  • Own the advertising product end-to-end --- formats, placements, mediation logic, capping, and the in-app ad experience --- from problem definition to shipped, measured outcome.
  • Build and prioritize the ad product roadmap against impact, balancing revenue, user experience, and effort.
  • Translate opportunities into clear specs and requirements, and partner daily with your front-end and back-end engineers to ship and iterate fast.
  • Own the health of the ad stack as a product surface.

Run discovery & experimentation

  • Make decisions with data, not gut feeling: design and run rigorous A/B tests and yield analysis across formats, placements, and partners.
  • Build the experimentation and reporting frameworks that turn every release into a learning, and compound revenue over time.
  • Be the internal expert on the ad tech landscape --- bring new ideas, formats, and partners, and report internally on market trends and changes.

Co-own the survey product

  • Share ownership of the survey channel with the squad's Engagement Manager.
  • Ship product and UX changes that elevate the survey experience while driving incremental revenue.

Drive partner & commercial strategy

  • Own partner strategy and negotiations with ad networks, SSPs, mediation platforms, and survey providers --- leading QBRs and commercial discussions.
  • Lead SDK integrations and mediation setup, and continuously optimize yield (eCPMs, fill rates).

Design monetization that respects users

  • WeWard's monetization sits inside a reward-based product. You'll treat the revenue-vs-experience tension as a product problem --- designing ad and survey experiences that are integrated, motivating, and never abusive.
  • Continuously raise revenue per user while protecting retention and engagement.
  • Contribute to cross-channel and engagement work when it serves the broader monetization flywheel.

Our commitments

  • 🏆 SUCCEED --- You'll join a team of passionate people who share values of ambition and determination
  • 🤝 TRUST --- We give you real autonomy, trusting you to reach your goals in your own way
  • ⛏️ EXPLORE --- You'll grow in a culture that's constantly evolving and curious about what's next
  • 📈 PROGRESS --- We'll support you through challenges, learn from mistakes, and move forward together
  • 😁 SMILE --- And every day, you'll be part of a fun and positive environment where humor is always welcome

🧠 What we're looking for

You're the perfect match if...

Must-haves

  • 5 years in monetization , with a strong focus on app monetization, product, ad tech, or programmatic advertising --- ideally in a mobile-first consumer app.
  • Track record of owning a product roadmap and driving measurable revenue growth through experimentation, yield optimization, and product iteration.
  • Deep knowledge of the mobile ad ecosystem: mediation platforms (AppLovin MAX, LevelPlay, AdMob), SSPs, ad networks, waterfall vs. bidding, eCPM dynamics.
  • Strong product craft: discovery, prioritization, writing clear specs, and shipping cross-functionally with engineers and designers.
  • Fluent with data and analytics tools (Amplitude; SQL a plus) and A/B testing --- you decide with evidence.
  • Commercial sense: you can hold your own in partner negotiations and turn relationships into revenue.
  • Full ownership mentality, from strategy to execution.
  • Clear communicator who collaborates naturally across product, engineering, design, and commercial teams.
  • A startup soul, hungry to make an indelible mark on a dynamic, mission-driven team.
  • Experience working with AI tools.
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Based in Paris, able to work on-site 3 days per week (Les Halles).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with offerwalls, or survey monetization.
  • Familiarity with mobile attribution (Adjust, AppsFlyer) and the LTV/ROAS logic behind UA decisions.
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks (Amplitude Experiment).
  • Genuine interest in behavioral design and gamification --- understanding how monetization fits inside an engagement loop.
  • Experience designing or contributing to personalization or recommendation systems.

🎁 What we offer

  • ✈️ A global, mission-driven team with teammates in Paris, NY, London, Boston!
  • 🧘‍♀️ A healthy work/life balance (we walk the talk)
  • 💡 Annual learning & dev budget (you grow, we grow)
  • 🏠 Hybrid work, with 2 days of remote work per week
  • 🏢 (Really, really) Cool office in central Paris with snacks, a walking desk and a huge Wardy hanging around

Recruitment Timeline

  1. A 30-min intro call with Kaënaath, our Talent Acquisition Specialist --- to discuss your background, expectations, and introduce you to WeWard
  2. 30-min chat with Samuel and a few team members, who will be running the squad.
  3. At-home case study followed by a 1 hour debrief with 3 collaborators, including time for mutual feedback.
