About Wecasa
Wecasa is the leading platform redefining home services (cleaning, beauty, childcare) in Europe. Our playground? France, the UK, Germany, and Austria.
Our mission is twofold and ambitious: to reduce the mental load for our clients, offering them quality time, while promoting the economic empowerment of thousands of independent professionals through a responsible and committed platform model.
Job Description
In full international acceleration, we are stepping up our game and creating our very first Legal Counsel position. Reporting directly to Cécile, our VP Finance, you will hold a pivotal role at the heart of the action.
Your mission? To build the legal function from scratch. At Wecasa, you are not just a legal expert: you are a true Business Partner and the primary architect of our structure. Your role is to secure our unique model, automate compliance to make it seamless (Legal Ops), and provide the necessary peace of mind for operational teams to reach new heights.
Responsibilities
At Wecasa, we're not looking for someone to say "no," but someone to tell us "how." Your role is central: protect our model while supporting Wecasa's acceleration in France and internationally.
Business Partnering: You are the preferred ally of our teams (Marketing, Product, Ops) to transform constraints into opportunities.
- Support the launch of ambitious projects (generative AI, creative campaigns) by finding the right balance between boldness and security.
- Draft and negotiate strategic contracts with our key partners, with a pragmatic and business-oriented approach.
- Become the team's educator to foster a "Legal-friendly" culture accessible to all.
- Defense: Manage disputes with agility to protect Wecasa's interests and image.
European Playground: Wecasa operates in France, the UK, and the DACH region (Germany, Austria). You will ensure the robustness of our platform across all our markets.
- Ensure our platform is future-proof against tomorrow's tech regulations (DSA, AI Act).
- Be the guardian of our model's security concerning independent workers, a subject at the heart of our social mission.
- Design clear, transparent contractual documentation (Terms of Service, etc.) perfectly integrated into the user journey.
Corporate & Finance: You are at the core of the company's structure and its key moments.
- Orchestrate Wecasa's social life (Board, General Meetings) and ensure smooth relations with our shareholders.
- Manage employee stock option plans (BSPCE), as we believe in sharing value with our talent.
- Actively participate in our financing or external growth operations (acquisitions): from Due Diligence to closing.
Transformation & Impact: Because we never stop learning and evolving.
- Be the driving force behind the legal department's digital transformation (automation, AI tools).
- Lead the Governance aspect of our impact strategy. At Wecasa, ethics is a competitive advantage.
- Anticipate legislative changes to stay one step ahead in our market.
Candidate Profile
- Master's degree (Business Law, Digital Law, Labor Law...), with significant prior experience in a law firm or in-house. Experience in a startup or scale-up is a real plus!
- Knowledge of privacy issues.
- You are perfectly comfortable juggling legal documents in English.
- You ensure the reliability of your corporate files and the accuracy of your writing. Rigor is your second nature.
- You thrive on versatility. Exploring new areas of law (consumer, corporate, AI) and building your own tools/processes stimulates you.
- You can translate legal jargon into clear, actionable language. Your mantra? Seek the "how" rather than dwelling on a "no."
What We Offer
- Annual gross salary ranging from €55,000 to €65,000, depending on profile.
- A supportive work environment, based on collaboration, where you can learn and grow rapidly.
- 5 weeks of paid leave plus 9 RTT days.
- High-level supplementary health insurance (60% covered by Wecasa).

At Wecasa, we celebrate the diversity of experiences and strive to offer an accessible work environment for everyone. Whatever your background, age, or the accommodations you may need, you are welcome. You don't need to tick every box: if you share our mindset and possess the essential skills, go for it.
