Job Description

Vates is a French software company specializing in Open Source and virtualization, with a strong commitment to open and collaborative development. Our main projects, Xen Orchestra and XCP-ng, cover the entire virtualization stack — from the hypervisor (Xen) and the virtualization platform (XCP-ng) to virtual machine management and backup (Xen Orchestra). Our company operates in an international environment, fluent English required.

Your Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze recruitment needs with hiring coordinators
  • Draft, validate, and publish job postings across relevant channels
  • Develop and implement a multi-channel sourcing strategy (LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, talent pools, schools)
  • Identify and engage passive candidates through headhunting
  • Conduct HR screenings and selection interviews
  • Assess candidates' skills, motivation, and cultural fit
  • Coordinate the full recruitment process through to offer stage and contract signature
  • Support hiring managers in final decision-making
  • Ensure a smooth and high-quality candidate experience throughout the process
  • Build, manage, and engage talent pools to anticipate future hiring needs
  • Develop and promote the company's employer brand
  • Identify recruitment challenges and propose improvement actions
  • Contribute to the optimization of recruitment processes and tools (ATS)
  • Participate in cross-functional HR projects (onboarding, campus relations, diversity & inclusion, etc.)
  • Monitor market trends and recruitment best practices
  • Collaborate closely with HR teams, coordinators, and business leaders

Required Skills

  • Strong command of the end-to-end recruitment process
  • Expertise in multi-channel sourcing techniques (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, talent pools, referrals, direct sourcing)
  • Ability to identify and engage passive candidates (headhunting)
  • Experience conducting structured recruitment interviews (screenings, HR interviews, competency-based assessments)
  • Solid knowledge of candidate assessment methodologies
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to manage recruitment processes and candidate tracking
  • Ability to write and distribute attractive job postings optimized for different channels
  • Experience in building and managing talent pools (talent pipelines, candidate communities)
  • Strong understanding of recruitment KPIs (time to hire, cost per hire, conversion rates, quality of hire)
  • Ability to analyze and report HR data (dashboards, recruitment activity tracking)
  • Knowledge of labor law fundamentals related to recruitment (contracts, hiring processes, compliance)
  • Proficiency in HR digital tools (ATS, recruitment CRM, LinkedIn Recruiter, sourcing tools)
  • Involvement in employer branding and candidate attraction strategies
  • Ability to coordinate complex recruitment processes with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous recruitment processes (high-volume hiring or hard-to-fill roles)
  • Fluent in English

Requirements

  • Bachelor's to Master's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in recruitment (within a recruitment agency, IT services company, or in-house environment).
  • Fluency in English.
