About the Division

The Telecom, Media & Entertainment division addresses the digital challenges of the markets:

• Telecom operators
• Media and audiovisual
• Entertainment: lottery games and sports betting.

We support our key clients in the race for technological innovations and the transformations they imply: 5G, fiber deployment, Cloud, and new uses (IoT, ChatBot, Mobile Apps, Digital Customer Relations, etc.).

To enhance your technical expertise, we offer you the opportunity to participate in the Tech'me UP initiative, which aims to promote technical fields at Sopra Steria.

The main areas are:

• Tech Excellence: develop skills through craftsmanship and algorithmics, improve development environments to meet time-to-market and quality challenges.
• Tech Image: preparation and rehearsal of internal and external talks, conferences, and writing tech articles.
• Human Development: enable every developer and architect to find their career path to the highest level, highlight the skills of experts!

Your Role and Mission

Your activities as Head of Development:

• You validate inputs, design, and estimates. You are responsible for best practices and means to ensure the quality of technical deliverables.
• You coordinate development actions within a given scope, interfacing with all stakeholders (internal and external).
• You ensure the sustainability and coverage of test automation.
• You are responsible for the capitalization of technical documentation.
• You simplify and present technical topics within the teams. You are the link for communities within the team.
• You support the team's developers and perform code reviews (PR/MR).
• You are responsible for the smooth operation of the continuous integration chain.
• You know the capabilities of each team member. You identify challenges proportionate to their skills to assign them.

Your technical environment: Java, JEE, Spring, Angular, Jenkins, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB

Profile

You have at least 5 years of experience managing a development team, as well as experience in application design, interacting with clients on their technical constraints.

You have good knowledge of using a continuous integration chain such as Jenkins or Gitlab, with significant experience in branch and merge management.

You have solid foundations in terms of Sonar quality metrics and application security.

Proactive and autonomous, you have no difficulty in seeking missing information or escalating potential difficulties or areas for improvement to your hierarchical manager.

Finally, you hold a Master's degree (Bac 5) from an engineering school, university, or equivalent.
