About the Position
We are looking for an experienced High Voltage (HTB) Engineer to become our internal and external point of reference for electrical substations, underground cables, and overhead lines associated with PV & BESS projects. Projects are located in France and across Europe, and the role will support our teams in the UK, Portugal, and Italy.
The position is available as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
As the HTB Technical Lead on our PV & BESS projects, you will be involved in all key phases:
- Studies (pre-FEED/FEED): Design, dimensioning, and technical decision-making.
- Tender Phase (Owner's Engineer): Preparation of technical documentation, analysis and comparison of EPC/supplier offers, and selection support.
- Execution Phase (Owner's Engineer): Review and validation of studies, site supervision, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and compliance with standards.
Reporting to the Head of the Electrical Department, you will contribute to internal skill development and the capitalization of lessons learned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Engineering degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in HTB projects (225/400 kV substations, underground cables, overhead lines). Alternatively, EPC experience with HTB involvement for a minimum of 4 years may also be considered.
- Field experience in:
- EPC / Contracting: Site supervision, construction, and commissioning of HTB facilities.
- OR Design Office / Engineering: Design, technical studies, calculations, and HTB specifications.
- Experience as an Owner's Engineer or supporting Project Owner/Project Management is a plus.
- Knowledge of PV and/or BESS projects is appreciated.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in HTB standards and norms, and grid connection issues.
- Good knowledge of electrical calculation tools (PowerFactory, ETAP, Caneco, or equivalents).
- Solid understanding of HTB standards and norms (IEC 60076, IEC 62271, IEEE, ENA, RTE DTR, etc.).
- Understanding of specific constraints for PV & BESS projects (Grid Code, network dynamics, flexibility).
Languages
- Fluent French is essential.
- Professional English is required (international collaborations).

- Team spirit, pedagogical skills, and good interpersonal abilities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: Starting from €55k, negotiable based on profile and experience.
- Contract: Full-time permanent contract (CDI) based on working days, offering RTT days and flexible working arrangements (office-based in Lyon / remote work / occasional travel).
