This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Strategy & Ops - Risk in France.

This role sits at the core of a fast-growing fintech environment, where strategy, operations, and risk intersect to shape how complex financial systems are built and scaled. You will work closely with founders and senior leadership to solve high-impact operational and regulatory challenges from first principles. The position blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, requiring you to design scalable frameworks that strengthen governance, risk management, and service delivery. You will play a key role in building the operational backbone of outsourced and inter-group services, ensuring performance, compliance, and resilience. Working across compliance, legal, product, and operations, you will help translate ambitious product goals into safe and scalable execution. This is a high-ownership role in a fast-paced, innovation-driven fintech environment.

Accountabilities

  • Drive strategic problem-solving across complex operational and regulatory challenges, translating ambiguity into structured, scalable solutions that support business growth and compliance.
  • Design and own outsourcing and risk frameworks, including vendor due diligence, performance monitoring, and governance of inter-group service execution.
  • Build and implement scalable operational systems and controls, leveraging data, structured workflows, and automation to improve risk visibility and decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional execution across compliance, legal, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of regulated financial products and services.
  • Develop and maintain robust risk monitoring processes, ensuring early detection of issues and proactive mitigation across operational workflows.
  • Contribute directly to product and operational strategy by identifying inefficiencies, proposing improvements, and driving end-to-end project delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong academic background in a STEM field, with excellent analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities.
  • 2+ years of experience in fintech, financial services, or other regulated environments, ideally within high-growth startup or scale-up settings.
  • Proven ability to design and manage scalable workflows, governance processes, or operational systems across complex cross-functional environments.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering end-to-end initiatives in fast-paced, ambiguous contexts.
  • High proficiency in data-driven decision-making, with the ability to leverage analysis to guide strategy and operational improvements.
  • Based in France, with strong collaboration skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
