Your Role: Financial Controller
As part of our continued growth, iCOVER is looking for a rigorous and data-driven Financial Controller to join our finance team.
Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, you will act as the analytical engine of the department. Your primary mission is to produce accurate, timely, and in-depth financial analyses that will serve as the foundation for the FP&A Manager's strategic discussions with business leaders. You are not expected to manage stakeholders directly but rather to ensure that the financial data and reports provided to them are flawless and insightful.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Monthly Closing
- Production: Prepare and consolidate the monthly financial reporting package (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for review by the FP&A Manager.
- Accuracy: Ensure the reliability and integrity of financial data across all systems; you are the first line of defense against data errors.
- Variance Analysis: Perform the initial "Budget vs. Actuals" analysis, identifying discrepancies and providing factual explanations for variances to the FP&A Manager.
- Lead intercompany reconciliation and monitoring activities across entities
- Assist with and coordinate monthly calls with various accounting entities to ensure alignment and issue resolution
- Own the accuracy and maintenance of reporting mappings, ensuring timely updates and consistency across reporting systems
Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Deep Dives: Conduct granular analysis on key performance drivers, including product margins, pricing structures, and cost center profitability.
- Modeling: Maintain and update financial models in Excel to support the budgeting and forecasting cycles led by the FP&A Manager.
- Ad-hoc Support: Provide rapid analytical support for specific requests from the FP&A Manager or CFO (e.g., specific cost analysis, capex tracking).
Tools & Process Improvement
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in the optimization of reporting tools (BI, Excel) to automate data extraction and improve reporting efficiency.
- Process Maintenance: Update and maintain documentation of financial processes and reporting standards.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Education
- 3--6 years of experience in Financial Controlling, Audit, or Financial Analysis. (Big 4 or experience in Transaction Services is a plus).
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Excel: Advanced proficiency is mandatory (comfortable with large datasets and complex formulas).
- BI Tools: Familiarity with PowerBI, Tableau, or similar tools is highly valued.
- Language: Fluent in English (and French), capable of working in an international setting.
Soft Skills
- Rigorous & Detail-Oriented: You take pride in producing error-free work. You double-check your numbers before passing them on.
- Analytical Mindset: You enjoy digging into the data to find the "why" behind the numbers.
- Structured: You can manage recurring deadlines (monthly closing, budget cycles) effectively.
- Team Player: You understand your role as a key support to the FP&A Manager and thrive in a collaborative environment.
PACKAGE
- Annual Gross package: €45,000 -- €55,000 (including a bonus on objectives, and based on experience)
