Description du poste

We are looking for a project management intern to support our delivery teams as we advise a French multi-national corporation on its entry and expansion strategies. Gulf Associates operates differently than standard consultancies. We focus on the commercial reality of high-stakes investments rather than abstract theory. In this role, you will help coordinate our internal efforts to ensure our senior partners have the data and tracking they need to advise clients during complex negotiations. This is a full-time, fully remote internship designed for someone who is organized and curious about how deals are actually closed. While the work is handled virtually, the impact is very real, as we support major capital deployment and partnership decisions.

What you will do

  • Support the coordination of project timelines, ensuring that all internal milestones align with the requirements of the French multi-national corporation.
  • Conduct research on specific counterparties and competitors within the territory to help partners build evidence-based positions.
  • Monitor news and regulatory updates relevant to the client's sector and summarize findings for senior team members in a clear, brief format.
  • Assist in the preparation of meeting briefs and presentation materials that will be used in discussions with sovereign entities and private partners.
  • Maintain project documentation and internal databases to ensure all facts regarding capital deployment and joint ventures are accurately recorded.
  • Participate in team calls to track action items and follow up on pending research tasks to ensure no detail is overlooked.
  • Help draft summaries of commercial interactions and regulator conversations to keep the project record up to date.

What you bring

  • A strong interest in commercial logic and the practicalities of how large businesses enter new markets.
  • The ability to write clearly and concisely without using corporate jargon: we value brevity and directness in all our communications.
  • Experience managing personal or academic projects with multiple moving parts and deadlines, showing you can stay organized under pressure.
  • A disciplined approach to research: you know how to find facts and verify them through multiple sources rather than relying on surface-level information.
  • Comfort working in a fully remote environment which requires high levels of self-organization and proactive communication with the rest of the team.
  • A high degree of attention to detail: you notice when a number is out of place or when a counterparty's name is misspelled in a brief.
  • An academic background in business, economics, or a related field that provides a foundation for understanding complex investments.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information with professional discretion, as much of our work involves high-stakes confidential decisions.

What we offer

  • Direct exposure to senior partners who are involved in the work from start to finish rather than managing from a distance.
  • A fully remote working arrangement that allows for a flexible professional life while maintaining a high standard of work.
  • A paid internship with a compensation package that is attractive and competitive for the entry-level market.
  • Participation in high-stakes projects where your research and coordination directly influence client outcomes.
  • A professional environment where curiosity is encouraged and theoretical fluff is discouraged in favor of practical results.

Working at Gulf Associates Our firm is built on outcomes rather than total output. We do not produce long reports for the sake of volume: we provide commercial judgment that leads to specific actions. We maintain a small book of active engagements so that our senior team can stay close to the ground reality of every deal. This means as an intern, you are not just a number in a large system. You are a valued part of a small, focused team where your contributions are visible. We value honesty and direct feedback because it is the only way to ensure our advice remains sound and actionable. Our culture is professional and grounded, focusing on results that follow our advice, such as signed agreements or the successful launch of operations in new territories.
