Job Description

The Zephir team, part of Deezer's Music Industry Relation department, is central to how Deezer fairly compensates its right holders. Our team develops and maintains Deezer's in-house royalties platform, managing the entire royalties data lifecycle—from calculating royalties based on content performance to producing and delivering reports to Deezer's recording and publishing partners.

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will contribute to designing and developing scalable features for the Zephir platform, a web portal used daily by operational teams to configure royalties reporting and initiate reporting processes.

What you will do:

• Modernize our platform by migrating key components from Django template language to React, enhancing reliability and user experience.
• Improve observability by identifying gaps and implementing robust monitoring solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement by proposing and implementing performance optimizations and feature enhancements in close collaboration with the team.
• Act as a full team member by actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications

This role is ideal for someone with:

• Back-end proficiency in Python; prior experience with Django is a significant advantage.
• Front-end proficiency in JavaScript; experience with React is a plus.
• A proactive approach to managing priorities and raising alerts.
• A collaborative mindset and a team player who enjoys sharing ideas and iterating with others.
• Professional English proficiency for effective communication in an international setting.
