Description du poste

Most commercial strategies fail not because the underlying idea is flawed, but because the logistical execution is not managed with the same level of rigor as the theory. Blue Oak Consulting is looking for a Junior Project Management Coordinator to provide the structural support that ensures our economic advice is translated into reality for our clients.

About Blue Oak

  • We provide commercial advice to leadership teams for problems where the solution is not immediately obvious.
  • Our team focuses on the actual economics of a business, including pricing architectures and capital allocation.
  • We operate as a fully remote firm and prioritize clear, direct communication over corporate jargon.
  • We look for value that is leaking or capital that is trapped within a client organization.
  • Our culture is grounded in a skeptical approach that values factual truth over project momentum.

The Role

The Junior Project Management Coordinator acts as the central point of organization for our consulting engagements. This is an entry-level position where you will support our senior consultants by managing the complex flow of information and timelines. You are responsible for ensuring that the data we need from clients is collected on schedule and that our internal team meets every milestone we promise. You will learn how a specialist consulting firm operates by maintaining the systems that keep our work orderly and effective. This role is about precision and reliability: you provide the baseline of order that allows our analysts to focus on the numbers.

What You Will Do

  • Track project milestones and internal deadlines across several active client accounts.
  • Maintain and categorize all internal documentation and client-provided data sets.
  • Coordinate with client points of contact to ensure that information requests are fulfilled on time.
  • Schedule internal strategy sessions and prepare the logistical materials for client review calls.
  • Monitor the progress of project tasks and flag any emerging risks to the timeline early.
  • Audit project files to ensure that all required inputs are present and meet our quality standards.

A Good Week Looks Like

In a successful week, you will have checked in on every active project to ensure that no deadlines are slipping. You will have followed up with a client to clarify why a specific data submission was incomplete, ensuring that our analysts have exactly what they need to proceed. You will have provided the consulting leads with a clear summary of the project status that focuses on facts rather than vague updates. Success in this position means that the consultants never have to ask where a document is or whether a meeting is confirmed. You are the professional who keeps the machine running behind the scenes.

What We Need From You

We need someone who is naturally organized and enjoys the process of managing multiple tasks at once. You do not need a background in management, but you must demonstrate an ability to handle complex schedules and maintain a high level of accuracy. Clear writing and speaking are essential: we avoid fluff and expect you to be direct when asking for information or reporting on a problem. You should be comfortable using standard digital tools for project tracking and communication. A methodical approach to work and a healthy respect for deadlines will make you successful in this environment. We also look for people who are comfortable working independently in a remote setting and who take pride in being reliable.

Who Tends To Do Well Here

Those who prefer logic and order over ambiguity tend to find a good home at Blue Oak. We are a team of skeptics who believe that every business assumption should be tested against reality. If you are someone who likes to see how the pieces of a project fit together and you find satisfaction in creating clarity out of a long list of requirements, you will enjoy this role. We value linear thinking and the ability to admit when you do not have an answer, as long as you are willing to find the data to get one. People who take ownership of their specific tasks and do not require constant supervision are the ones who thrive in our remote culture.

What The Role Offers

  • A permanent full-time position that is entirely remote.
  • Direct exposure to high-level commercial strategy and business economics.
  • A workplace culture that values truth, logic, and plain speaking.
  • Structured training on how to manage complex consulting projects.
  • A predictable working schedule that prioritizes efficiency over long hours for the sake of appearances.
  • Opportunities to advance into project management or analytical consulting tracks.
