Your Mission

As a Fraud and Risk Officer Intern, you will be responsible for assessing fraud risks and developing strategies to monitor and prevent fraud on the Back Market platform. You'll collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure effective fraud risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and monitor high-risk transactions for potential fraud.
  • Report on fraud statistics and trends to enhance team knowledge and detection rates.
  • Defend chargebacks on behalf of Back Market.
  • Suspend or lift account suspensions based on investigations and appeals.
  • Resolve customer fraud-related inquiries and disputes.
  • Collaborate with internal Customer Support to manage fraud risks while minimizing customer friction.
  • Analyze fraud and payment data to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.

Your Profile

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is pursuing a degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Is seeking a 6-month internship.
  • Has full professional capability in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Possesses an investigative mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Is data-oriented and comfortable using Excel.
  • Previous experience in fraud prevention or e-commerce is advantageous.

Internship Details

  • Start Date: July 2026
  • Duration: 6 months (until December)
  • Schedule: Full-time internship (35 hours/week)
  • Location: Paris, France

Recruitment Process
