The Environmental Consulting & Support Team

Within the Environmental, Research & Innovation Hub of the Project Management Support Department, the Environmental Consulting & Support team primarily works on assisting project owners in considering and managing the regulatory environment, as well as implementing eco-design, throughout all phases of study and construction.

Your Role as an Environmental Support Project Officer

The Environmental Consulting & Support team is seeking an Environmental Support Project Officer to assist one of its clients in managing studies and administrative procedures related to the environment for a major railway infrastructure project. The role will be based at the client's offices in Montpellier.

As a support to the client, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing technical studies and monitoring environmental contracts.
  • Overseeing and tracking the completion of environmental procedure files.
  • Managing the implementation of the ERC (Ecological Compensation and Restoration) sequence.
  • Assisting in the planning of project procedures.
  • Supporting the Project Owner during the review of regulatory files.
  • Facilitating coordination among project stakeholders.
  • Managing interfaces with regulatory bodies and third parties.
  • You will also participate in transversally animating a network of collaborators developing expertise in environmental support (contributing to professional community animation, training plans, innovation watch, etc.).

This Role is For You If...

  • You are a generalist environmental engineer.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a design office/consultancy specializing in regulatory environmental matters (impact studies, water law, environmental consulting).
  • Experience with linear and/or railway infrastructure projects and naturalist skills are a plus.
  • You are autonomous, enjoy teamwork, and can adapt to complex issues inherent in large projects.
