About the role
As our French HR Manager, you will be instrumental to our global People team, collaborating with colleagues in Aix-en-Provence, Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Toronto, and across the US. Your primary objective is to cultivate an outstanding employee experience while ensuring our French operations are compliant, efficient, and aligned with our global mission. You possess a pragmatic approach and understand the complexities of a business operating within an international framework.
What you'll do
Employee Lifecycle
- Manage all end-to-end HR activities for the French office, from onboarding to offboarding.
Advisory
- Offer expert guidance to managers and employees on performance, conduct, and HR policies.
Payroll
- Oversee payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing in compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal governance.
Labour Relations
- Collaborate with the Legal department to manage relations with the Works Council (CSE).
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the local French HR Generalist.
Process Optimization
- Continuously assess, review, and implement HR policy enhancements to ensure local compliance.
Culture
- Promote an inclusive workplace culture that reflects our core company values.
Who you are
Education
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a comparable professional qualification.
Experience
- Minimum of 5-8 years as an HR Manager or HR Business Partner, preferably in a high-growth tech setting.
French Labour Law Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of the French Labour Code (Code du Travail), with experience managing French Works Councils (CSE) and labor relations.
Language Skills
- Fluency in both English and French, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise between local HR and global leadership.
Global Acumen
- High comfort level working in a fast-paced, distributed global organization.
Conflict Resolution
- Proven ability to navigate difficult conversations and maintain professional neutrality during conflicts.
Strategic Thinking
- Strong critical thinking skills to provide well-reasoned, evidence-based HR recommendations.
Interpersonal Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated capacity to build and maintain relationships across all organizational levels.
Operational Excellence
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and resourceful, with a tech-forward mindset and proficiency in modern HR software.
